BIO
Jenna Wheeler-Hughes, a true triple threat, was born and raised in Montreal and got her start at the age of just 4, doing commercials alongside her mom. She began her voice journey at the age of 7, voicing the character of Marie Pon Pon in the animated series “Zoe Kezaco”. After years of singing in the EMSB choir, she discovered her love of musical theatre at the age of 13 after seeing “Les Miserables” in London. She then began her training as a classical soprano. She loved playing the role of Little Red Riding Hood in “Into the Woods” for her graduating play in theatre school. She says being silly comes naturally, even though the majority of her film and television roles are dramatic. Jenna is also an accomplished dancer and gymnast, which helps her find the physicality of the characters she plays. While playing Cony in The Wedding Factory in 2022, she put her physical background to use as her character was consistently inebriated and falling all over the place. A goal of hers is to use her gymnastic background for fight and stunt sequences for a role. She was thrilled to be cast in one of her favourite movie franchises of all time, “SCREAM”, alongside Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera in 2023. Jenna is also a talented singer/songwriter, who has an EP out called “Stages” on streaming platforms under the name Jenna Wheeler. When she isn't performing, you can find her sewing, painting and spending time with her rescue dog, George. Shout out to Jenna’s family, for never questioning her passion or telling her to have a back-up plan. She was born to perform!
