BIO

Susie never expected to become an actor, but at 19 found herself cast as Perdita, then Desdemona at the Katherine Cornell Theater on Martha’s Vineyard. She then went back to Brown University, transferred to RISD and got a BFA in costume design before literally sailing off to Montreal in 1981. She wound up on the other side of the camera for a Concordia student film, and began working professionally in 1984. She is privileged to have studied with Lily Parker-Flood, Ivana Chubbuck, and Warren Robertson. Her favorite theater credits include Annie in “The Real Thing”, Elizabeth in “Laundry and Bourbon”, and Linda in “Mom’s the Word”.

In film, Susie is proud to have worked with James Caan and Aidan Quinn in “This is My Father”, and opposite Nick Nolte in “Affliction”. TV credits include 52 episodes as Timmy’s Mom in “Lassie”, and recurring roles on 5 Quebecois series, including the hugely popular “Tribu.com”. She currently plays Myriam Parker on “L’Auberge du Chien Noir”, which is celebrating it’s 10th season (lucky girl!). Susie thanks her wonderful French-Canadian husband and bilingual kids for honing her French, and providing plenty of grist for the acting mill.
