BIO
Born in Montreal and from the Haitian community, Ernst Augustin has always been a curious person, with a naturally introverted temperament. From a young age, he was attracted to the stage, particularly through improvisation in primary school. The smiles of the spectators and their laughter quickly confirmed his passion for the game. Despite this blooming love for the arts, he initially chose to follow another path, that of sports, inspired by legendary figures such as Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, and Ray Lewis. This sporting experience allowed him to develop an iron discipline and unwavering determination, qualities which he later applied to his acting career.
The call of cinema returned to him during his university years, during a decisive experience. It was on the set of the series “Blue Mountain State”, where he was hired as a special skill extra, that he had the opportunity to discover behind the scenes. This revelation confirmed his desire to devote himself fully to cinema, whether in front of or behind the camera. Following this experience, he followed several acting training courses to refine his art and improve as an actor.
Outside of cinema, he has a deep passion for psychology, human relations, and languages. These interests enrich his understanding of the characters he plays and bring a unique depth to his acting. He speaks French, English, and Haitian Creole fluently, adding linguistic and cultural richness to his roles.
