Karine Lévesque - 2019

BIO

Born to a Peruvian father and a French-Canadian mother from Québec, Eva has been performing for as long as she can remember. Her first public performance took place at the age of two, busking alongside her father at Ottawa’s ByWard Market. At 17, she won Jeune Diva du Québec, a prestigious competition judged by some of Québec’s most influential female artists—an early milestone that confirmed her place among the province’s standout young vocalists. A few years later, she auditioned for Season 4 of Canadian Idol and won, leading to a record deal with Sony BMG and the release of two albums: Somewhere Else (2006) and Give Me The Music (2009). Her career quickly expanded to include four top-charting singles, a Juno Award nomination, a lead role in a musical, a spot as the supporting act on Beyoncé’s Canadian tour and a performance at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games Closing Ceremonies in 2010.

Between 2011 and 2017, Eva performed extensively across Québec with the Montreal-based band Les Vikings, sharing the stage with artists such as Garou, Paul Piché, Nanette Workman, Jonas, Michel Pagliaro, and Marie-Denise Pelletier. In 2015, she released her EP Never Get Enough, which included her first self-penned French single “À mille saisons d’ici” and reached strong radio success in Québec. That same year, she recorded the official Pan American Games theme song, Unidos Somos Más, in Spanish.

Alongside her music career, Eva has continued to build a on-screen resumé with roles in films such as Autumn and the Black Jaguar, Le Coyote, and Maps and Mistletoe, as well as television appearances on Alert: Missing Persons Unit, Real Detective and The Bold Type.

Grounded in decades of experience on and off stage, Eva continues to evolve as a versatile and compelling performer with a lifelong devotion to her craft.
